Have you ever day dreamed about something magical that you want for your future? Can you visualize every detail? Does it make you feel warm and fuzzy? For one of my incredible friends/clients, their dream kitchen was something they made into a reality. I am so excited to share photos from this session with you all.
“We are remodeling our kitchen and we will definitely need to have photos in there once it’s finished.” That’s all I needed to hear to know that Caroline was dreaming big and we were about to have photos that were #housegoals and #kitchenenvy.
I was there to document their family in a new space that is filled with so much thought and love.
“We had an awesome contractor. He listened to everything we wanted and never tried to steer our design into another direction.”
When I asked Caroline about how they made it all work, she raved about her contractor and said “ As far as the design, Jon and I had been dreaming of this kitchen for years so we knew exactly what we wanted. Our cabinets are from IKEA and we get so many compliments on them. No one can believe it. Twice a year, IKEA has a huge kitchen sale, it’s saved us thousands. “
Overall she said that the remodel was pretty smooth, some things got a little behind but nothing over a month. They went big on appliances and light fixtures and cheaper on the cabinets and countertops. She told me “ I would not change a thing. Marble countertops would never fit our family because they stain and white cabinets, to me are white cabinets, I would rather Have a pretty lighting. “
I have to agree whole heartedly. Pretty lighting is something I search for in every home and in their kitchen it’s like a dream come true for this photographer:)

I love that I was able to (not only feature my beautiful clients but to) highlight all of the little pieces they put together in order to make their dream kitchen come true. I feel so privileged to be able to document all of the moments in the lives of my clients. From remodeling to birthdays, Summer sprinklers to baptisms, family pizza night to ice cream at Ted Drewes, I look forward to every adventure with all of my families.
